§ 11.5-23. Truck cranes.

  • The following provisions shall apply to truck cranes moving under own power:

    (a)

    Height 14 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    (b)

    Length 60 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    80 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible for local moves only, long distance movement for lengths greater than sixty (60) feet not permitted.

    (c)

    Width 10 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    12 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    (d)

    Weight 70,000 pounds maximum:

    (1)

    Three (3) axles required (minimum).

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible for both local and long distance moves.

    90,000 pounds maximum:

    (1)

    Four (4) axles required (minimum).

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible for both local and long distance moves.

    (e)

    Remarks: No hanging bucket will be permitted on the boom while traveling. Truck crane permits include: component parts, outriggers, jib, bucket, pads, cables, etc., necessary for normal operations.
