§ 11.5-22. Construction and industrial equipment.

  • The construction and industrial equipment classification has been expanded to include items formerly requiring separate permits such as tractors, bulldozers, generators, transformers, steel tanks, crawler cranes, draglines, rollers, etc. Formerly limited to legal length, it has been expanded to the same overall length allowed draglines, steel poles, etc. In any case where multiple loading is done to develop the dimensions or weight allowed, the permit will be voided.

    Height 14 feet maximum:

    (a)

    Movement permitted daylight hours only, all days.

    (b)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    Length 55 feet maximum:

    (a)

    Movement permitted daylight hours only, all days.

    (b)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    Length 75 feet maximum:

    (a)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (b)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    Width 10 feet maximum:

    (a)

    Movement permitted daylight hours only, all days.

    (b)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    Width 12 feet maximum:

    (a)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (b)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    Gross weight: See general hauling requirements herein.

    Remarks:

    (a)

    Movements for dimensions greater than above may be considered on a trip basis only after making an individual study of factors involved.

    (b)

    A single bucket will be permitted to be hauled along with dragline as normal load. No hanging bucket from boom will be permitted.

    (c)

    Single blade may be removed from bulldozers for safety purposes and carried with load.
