§ 11.5-24. Earth moving equipment.

Earth moving equipment moving under own power, such as DW-21, SL-200, TS200, Cat 619, TS-24, etc., shall comply with the following requirements:

(a)

Height, length and width: As required but not to exceed twelve (12) feet wide.

(b)

Weight 72,000 pounds maximum:

(1)

Two (2) axles required (minimum).

(2)

Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

(3)

Blanket permits permissible.

Weights more than 72,000 pounds: Permits covering earth moving equipment of this weight to be handled on individual trip basis. Company escort may be required and speed restricted to twenty-five (25) miles per hour. Police escort may be required while crossing all bridges and equipment to cross bridges along center line at reduced speed dependent upon the factors involved.

Note: Permits granted for this type vehicle are intended to cover the empty unit only and do not include hauling any load.
