§ 10.5-172. Penalties.
(a)
Minor. A minor who violates this article is guilty of a civil infraction and shall pay a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each violation. In addition, for a subsequent violation, the sheriff's office personnel may request that a petition for dependency be filed in the circuit court in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 39, Florida Statutes.
(b)
Parent. A parent of a minor who violates this article is guilty of a civil infraction and shall pay a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first violation and a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the second and subsequent violations.
(c)
Business operator. A business operator who violates this article is guilty of a civil infraction and shall pay a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first violation and a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the second and subsequent violations.
