Ord. No. 97-36, adopted Sept. 16, 1997, enacted new provisions dealing with the control
of alarms and alarm systems, which have been codified herein as Div. 2 of a new Art.
VII of Ch. 10.5. In order to provide for better classification, to keep related material together,
and to facilitate the indexing reference and use, the editor has moved and redesignated
provisions prohibiting the use of privately owned telephone alarm devices connected
to 911 lines, formerly codified as § 10.5-3, to Art. VII as § 10.5-186.
