§ 7-18. Creation of district.

(a)

That special fire control and tax district known as "Fire District No. 2 of Polk County", created pursuant to Polk County Ordinance No. 74-13 and amended by Polk County Ordinance No. 74-16, shall continue in existence and effect until October 1, 1992, at 12:01 a.m.

((b)

Pursuant to Section 125.01(1)(q), Florida Statutes, there shall be created on October 1, 1992, at 12:01 a.m., in Polk County, Florida, a municipal service benefit unit to be known as the "Polk County Fire Services District", which District shall embrace and include all of the lands in the unincorporated area of Polk County and those lands in the Town of Hillcrest Heights, the City of Eagle Lake, the Town of Polk City, the Town of Lake Hamilton, and the City of Mulberry.
