§ 2-251. Penalties.

  • Pursuant to F.S. § 125.69, and its amendments, a person who violates any provision of this article shall be subject to prosecution in the same manner as misdemeanors are prosecuted. Upon conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment in the Polk County Jail for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, or by both a fine and imprisonment; the violator may also be subject to other fees and costs associated with enforcing this article. Each day of continued noncompliance or violation shall constitute a separate offense.
