§ 11-8. Disposal of construction and demolition debris.

  • (a)

    Prior to the issuance of a building permit for the construction, destruction, or renovation of any structure, the applicant for the building permit shall provide for the collection and disposal of any construction and demolition debris and any other waste that may result from the proposed work on the structure. The applicant shall indicate in writing, on forms provided by the county, which of the following methods of collection and disposal shall be used:

    (1)

    The applicant has a contract with a commercial franchise holder to collect and properly dispose of the construction and demolition debris and any other waste that will be generated by the proposed work. The applicant shall provide the county with the name and telephone number of the commercial franchise holder that will be used; or

    (2)

    The applicant will provide for the collection and disposal of the construction and demolition debris and any other waste generated by the proposed work using the applicant's own equipment for the collection and disposal of such material.

    (b)

    No building permit shall be issued by the county until the county confirms that the applicant has established a lawful method of collecting and disposing of the construction and demolition debris and any other waste that will be generated by the applicant's proposed work.
