  • Any violation of the water quality standards set forth in this division or in Chapter 10D-5 of the Florida Administrative Code shall constitute grounds for immediate closure of said public swimming pool or bathing place. Upon determination by the county health department that a public swimming pool or bathing place is in violation of these standards, the owner or his representative shall post the pool closed and prohibit its use. If the owner refuses to take such action, any representative of the county health department may post the pool with a sign advising the public that the pool is closed by order of the county health officer and furnish in writing to the owner or his representative notification of the violation. Thereafter, the operator shall be prohibited from removing said sign or allowing anyone to use the pool until the violation is corrected.
