§ 8-91. Closure of pool for violation of division.

  • Upon a determination by the county health department that a public swimming pool or bathing place operator is violating any provision of this division said operator shall be notified in writing of such violation and be directed to correct the situation within a reasonable time certain to be specified therein. In no case shall this time be less than seven (7) days. If the violation has not been corrected within the time prescribed in the said notice, any representative of the county health department may deliver a second notice of violation in writing to the operator of any person in charge at the premises and shall post a sign at the pool or bathing place advising the public that the facility is closed by order of the county health department. Thereafter, the operator shall be prohibited from removing said sign or allowing anyone to use said facility until the violation is corrected.
