§ 5-335. Jurisdiction.

(a)

Generally. The board shall have jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to the examination, qualification, regulation, and control of any person or firm desiring to engage in the construction business in the unincorporated areas of the county, in those trade categories required to be licensed pursuant to this article.

(b)

Building trades. The board shall have jurisdiction over those building trades regulated in the following ordinances:

a.

Polk County Ordinance No. 89-56, the county building code, as amended.

b.

Polk County Ordinance No. 89-57, the county plumbing code, as amended.

c.

Polk County Ordinance No. 89-58, the county mechanical code, as amended.

d.

Polk County Ordinance No. 89-59, the county electrical code, as amended.

e.

Polk County Ordinance No. 89-60, the county gas code, as amended.

f.

Polk County Ordinance No. 89-61, the county swimming pool code, as amended.
