§ 5-287. Owner obtaining building permit.

  • (a)

    A property owner may build a residential swimming pool structure on such property for the purpose of immediate occupancy by himself and may obtain a permit to do such work acting as his own contractor for one such structure in a three-year period.

    (b)

    The owner of any building may also make alterations and repairs to his swimming pool structure (after obtaining the required permit) if, in the judgment of the swimming pool official, the work proposed is not in violation of the state statutes and poses no threat to the public safety and welfare.
