§ 2-253. Liberal, nonconflicting construction.

The provisions of this article shall be liberally construed such that its purpose is effectively rendered in the interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens and residents of Polk County. At all times when the orders, rules, and regulations made and promulgated pursuant to this article and Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, are in effect, they shall supersede all existing ordinances, orders, rules, and regulations insofar as the latter may be in conflict therewith.
