§ 2-107. Case presentation and the duties and powers of the county attorney's office.

  • (a)

    Case presentation: A member of the code enforcement division or county attorney's office shall represent Polk County by presenting cases to the magistrates.

    (b)

    Duties and powers of the county attorney's office: A member of the county attorney's office shall be the legal representative for Polk County and shall be permitted to present cases to the special magistrate, to inquire of any witness, submit evidence, make legal arguments on behalf of Polk County and exercise any and all other powers necessary to prosecute violations within the jurisdiction of the special magistrate and appellate special magistrate.
