§ 2-43. Purchases of certain materials from state division of corrections.

The sheriff, the board of county commissioners and the board of public instruction of Polk County are authorized to buy from, and the division of corrections of the state is authorized to sell to, said sheriff, board of county commissioners and board of public instruction, clothing, foodstuffs, produce, canned goods and any other products except concrete pipe products produced by state institutions. In making such purchases, the said sheriff and boards are not required to comply with any general or special law requiring advertising for bids or receiving other bids.
