§ 11-34. Residential franchise agreements.
If the board has awarded a person a residential franchise to provide residential collection service, that person shall execute and enter into a residential franchise agreement with the county before beginning to provide such services within the residential franchise area. The residential franchise agreement shall contain the specific terms and conditions that shall govern the residential franchise holder when providing residential collection service. At a minimum, the residential franchise agreement shall establish the requirements that are necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the county's residents. Each residential franchise agreement shall give the residential franchise holder the exclusive right to perform residential collection service within the designated residential franchise area.
