§ 11.5-31. House trailers.

  • House trailers shall comply with the following provisions:

    (a)

    Height: Legal.

    (b)

    Length 70 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    (3)

    A minimum weight or size vehicle equivalent to a one ton truck will be required as a safety precaution to haul units of this length.

    More than 70 feet:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Trip basis permits only will be issued.

    (3)

    A minimum weight or size vehicle equivalent to a one ton truck will be required as a safety precaution to haul units of this length.

    (c)

    Width 8 feet to 10 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted during daylight hours week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    (3)

    A minimum weight or size vehicle equivalent to a one ton truck will be required as a safety precaution to haul units of this width.

    10 feet to 12 feet maximum: Trip basis only; section 11.5-32 for special provisions governing movement of trailers of this width.

    (d)

    Note: All individual trip permits must provide information to identify the trailer by manufacturer's make and serial number.
