§ 11.5-25. Steel tanks.

  • Steel tanks to be hauled on truck-trailer. Holders of construction and industrial permits may haul tanks within limitations specified therein. Such vehicles shall comply with the following:

    (a)

    Height 14 feet maximum: Hauling permitted daylight hours only, all days.

    (b)

    Length 55 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Hauling permitted daylight hours only, all days.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    55 to 75 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    (c)

    Width 10 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours only, all days.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    12 feet maximum:

    (1)

    Movement permitted daylight hours, week days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

    (2)

    Blanket permits permissible.

    (d)

    Gross weight: See general axle and load requirements.

    (e)

    General note:

    (1)

    For moves requiring greater dimensions than above trip basis permits may be issued dependent upon the circumstances.

    (2)

    The permit issued is intended to cover the requirements of a single item only. Multiple loading will not be permitted to develop the dimensions shown on permit.
