§ 10-123. Alternative notice requirements.

  • When the notice provisions in section 10-122 result in the requirement to send mail notices to more than fifty (50) property owners, the following provisions may be used as an alternative method of providing notice:

    (1)

    Notice of the public hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in Polk County. The notice shall be an advertisement no less than one-quarter page in a standard size or a tabloid size newspaper, and the headline shall be in a type no smaller than eighteen (18) point. The notice shall contain the time, date and place of the public hearing. It shall also contain a geographic location map which clearly indicates the areas covered by the proposed variance action.
