§ 10.5-213. Definitions.

  • The following terms are defined as follows for the purposes of this article:

    (a)

    Permanent residence means a place where a sexual offender/designated predator abides, lodges, or resides for a period of five (5) or more consecutive days.

    (b)

    Temporary residence means a place where a sexual offender/designated predator abides, lodges, or resides for a period of five (5) or more days in the aggregate during any calendar year and which is not the person's permanent address or, for a person whose permanent residence is not in this state, a place where the person is employed, practices vocation, or is enrolled as a student for any period of time in this state.

    (c)

    Public park means and includes all property owned or acquired by any governmental entity and specifically designated as being acquired for park and recreational purposes.

    (d)

    Religious institution means a church, synagogue, mosque, temple or other faith-based institution or place of worship at which nonprofit religious services and activities are regularly conducted.
