§ 10.5-205. Limitation of liability.
Nothing herein shall be construed to create a duty on the part of the sheriff's office or Polk County, including its fire services division, to respond to any alarm or to otherwise guarantee the safety of any member of the public, and the sheriff's office and Polk County expressly retain the discretion to determine whether or not to respond to an alarm and to otherwise determine the most efficient deployment of law enforcement and firefighting resources. Nothing herein shall be construed as a waiver of sovereign immunity on the part of either the sheriff's office or Polk County.
